Is this a true CJ7?

Hello guys, I googled a 1983 CJ7 for sale in Belgium. It seems to be a well maintained 2.5L Iron Duke and everything works for me except for couple of details that has caught my attention and sugest that it's not stock. I'm hardly an expert but I see the tailgate is YJ type. Is there anything else not original? I found most CJ7 in the web having filler cap on the right side in the back, this one has it on the left side.
Please, if you could give some more information, what is not stock on this example? Regards

Could be that the tube has been swapped due to rust issues...
The front bumper is not stock, but this is a minor detail.
Watch out for rust under the black sheet metal...

Don't have access to VIN. Are there any problems related to this tub swap? Does the swap make the value of the car to drop significantly? What do you think?

Without seeing a few more pictures, Im not convinced it's not a YJ......with a CJ nose (and possible 2.5 transplant).

The xfercase is almost non-existent from the side which would be unusual for a T-4 /5 or 176. Looks like a YJ AX5/15 from the profile. Front crossmember looks YJ-ish

Hhhmmmm....maybe the little nerf things created false imagery in my brain. It definitely looks like the xfercase is passengerside. And I see the lock outs now.

Front leaf spring width may help decipher CJ vs. YJ roots if memory serves. There have been more then a few days where I wished I had a YJ with CJ clip. ;-)

It has a CJ frame from what I see so I'm thinking the suspention and axles are as well.
CJ windshield frame
CJ front clip
yj tub
CJ dash (from what I can see)
CJ top
CJ doors
Laredo rims
Longer then stock shackles
Front and rear bumpers are not original

I also see some bubbling on the passenger side quarter panel as well.

How can you tell just out of curiosity? Im not sure about the windshield difference, but my old 93 YJ had identical doors to my CJ....except for the mirror mounts, but that's an easy fix.

There's no rib or ribs on the bottom of the windshield frame. Cj frames were flat all the way around. Cj doors don't have provisions for side view mirror but your correct that's an easy fix. The only Cj doors I know of that came with side view mirrors on them were on the '82-'83 Limiteds

The 81 or 82 and up are the same so it could be either. The latch is different on the earlier CJ doors
The stock yj windshield frame has 2 grooved seem on the outer lower frame. Aftermarket may not have the grooves.
