It’s not cheap though.

Holy moly! You weren't kidding!!! About $75 with shipping. I've heard of it, but never used it myself. I've thought about cleaning up my MC and putting something like this on it to keep it from rusting...but I've also thought about painting it too...haven't made up my mind...maybe the price tag has!

75 is steep - but as for the aluminum rocker guards - once polished they will need something pretty tough to keep em like that. Clear powder coating would be at least 75 bucks.......

Agreed - I’m also a fan of the surrounds.....

Dash looks great. What is that on the bed?

Also wondering if you could send me just a tablespoon of the SharkHide... I've got a couple of bolts...

What is that on the bed? I don’t understand what your talking about.

I could probably send you some if you want. Then you could try it out.

Agreed, it’s expensive, but this stuff is amazing! I can’t believe how HARD it gets! It so easy to put on! Impervious to paints and chemicals, even carb cleaner won’t take it off! Don’t get it on your hands!

I wonder if it can be sprayed? You say it dries in seconds..... may have too fast of a flash time to be sprayed........ I'm also curious what it would do on wood.... sounds like it would make a nice moisture barrier for outdoor use - like a walnut gauge surround 😎

I don’t think it can be sprayed for the reasons you state. Flash time to short. I think it would overspray like crazy as well.
I don’t think it would bond to wood. It forms some kind of chemical bond with metal. It’s not like paint, but more of a “treatment” than a “coating”. But yet to does “coat” the metal. It’s hard to explain.

That just makes me wanna experiment with it more. May hafta buy a jug and see what I can do with it.

Wonder if you can paint over it?

From what I understand you can.

What carpet brand did you go with? You like it? Fit well so far?

On second look, it is just the blue paint. Thought it was some new fangled blue coating. Nice color blue btw...

I went with the seatz brand carpet kit. Yes, love the kit. Nice marine grade carpet with padding already attached. I like the fact that it is glue down and not Velcro. It should stay in place nicely. Nice edge seems as well.
So far it is fitting nicely. I like the fact that the carpet runs up the firewall instead of just stopping where the floor meets the firewall.

Looks like it's in a museum.

Thanks!
