I'll agree to disagree with you, on the grounds that PaRenegade and Hedge stated above.
But after re-reading your previous post I just need to say this because it's bothering me...
"Hasnt owning a jeep always been about offroad performance? not just having a 7 slot grill?" "I said i bough my jeep for its "legendary offroad performance"!! not its iconic apearance."
Original jeeps had 9 slots. But the face shape stayed pretty much the same, so I guess you can say that gives it an iconic look. The whole body style is pretty unique, though.
"it does have the legendary performance ALL jeeps come with"
No. And that's not CJ snobbery talking, that's design limitations governed by safety laws. If you want to take your new JEEP offroad you need to disconnect sway bars, dis-engage electronic stability controls, add lift, lockers, aggressive tires, etc... When you have to throw thousands more at your vehicle to bring it up to par you're not getting a jeep with legendary performance. You're aspiring to one.
I'm not saying you're wrong for building what you want. That's cool. To each their own. But don't stamp your feet insisting that you're getting better than the original. Modern laws don't allow it. And once you start to mod your JK the warranty becomes null and void. The second you take it offroad, "trail rated" sticker or not, the warranty becomes null and void.

If Chrysler's churning them out with legendary performance why the tablecloth trick?
But Dan77CJ7, if I ever see you rolling down the road towards me I promise I'll wave.
