Grandpa and the boys and I figured on breaking some trail behind the house this morning. The drifts were deeper than I expected. This was the first time the boys have been stuck, but it won't be their last.

After we got out we had to pose for the obligatory snow bank pic.


On a side note, I definitely need to upgrade my open differential!

Thats what owning a CJ is all about in my book. Kids will always remember you and their grandpa taking them out. Thats right.

Where's winter?
The paper is saying this January was one of the warmest and driest on record for SW Colorado.
I realize the rest of the country has had a good winter. I guess "good winter" is a relative term. I love winter and could go for a blizzard right now. Last weekend I took my cycle out for a ride. Earlier in the year I heard parts of Minnesota were getting temps of about -30°. That's where I moved from. Recently the southeast was hit with some cold and ice. Yes, even CJ has needed to find his winter coat in the back of his closet.
When do we get some winter here in Durango? :dunno:
 
We must be getting it all on the front range, I'm getting tired of shoveling snow and we have a cold snowy week ahead I wish I could send it your way.
 
Yup supposed to have a fresh 3 to 6 in. of it by tomorrow afternoon. Hope to get a good pic or 2. Usually the 2nd shift guy pusses out and calls off when it snows. :mad: Makes me stuck there till 7:00

We got about 7 inches. Supposed to be another 3 to 6 on the way tonite and then a big one this weekend. :eek:

Another 5-8 inches are suposed to arrive today and more this weekend. Baa Humbug. 42 more days till spring.
 
4 to 5 more inches coming down today here too. Really wishing I had a heated garage.

Got a little more but mostly ice. :mad: Bagged work for the first time in 3 years.
 
We got about 3" of ice, snow mix :( I can walk on top of the snow and not leave a footprint, it's like solid white ice.:eek:
The wife called off so I took the subaru to work, it's so much better on this :dung: than my truck.
