I have a 1985 CJ7 AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l with AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l head I have the offy intake pictured below with a holley 390 carb on it now that runs like :dung: and is impossible to work on. I'm putting on a MC 2150 next week and I'm not sure what base plate to get that will fit the intake. I have read and read and alot of people say that if you don't get the right base plate you will have air or vacuum leaks for days! Mr gasket, summit trd 2086 Gronk square back plate. HELP

I would go with the MC2100/1.08venture vs the 2150 i think the 2150 is for higher altitude or something along those lines i have the 2100/non-smog and live in denver, i just got back from about 9700ft and i ran great and i only tuned it by ear!! j/k, just a thought so you dont have junk hanging off ur carb you dont need or use. unless you need emmisions...then well i dont know! lol, i have the gronk plate but my intake is different. Good luck.

Id try to figure out whats wrong with the Holley before ditching it.

That holley is a PITA to work on or tweak runs like :dung: off road, any bumps or hills and it floods out and stalls! holley may be a great on road performance carb but not meant for a jeep. And as for the 2150 I'm ditching it and looking for a plain Jane 2100

Good Idea, i was wondering if that offy flows good for the Mc2100/1.08, or if a AMC 2bbl intake would be better for MC? if so you could always sell that offy with carb and get want you want or need, good luck. And this is only my 2 cents :chug:

is anybody currently running an offy 4 bbl intake with an adapter to a 2bblr mc2100 carb and have any issues? I don't really want to switch the intake to a 2bbl intake but if it will save headaches and frustrations with tuning ect ect it may be worth it.
