I needed seatbelts for the backseat crew, a Yard Ape age 14 and a fearless girl age 6. These reels are anchored to the floor behind the back seat.

I put the reels for paying out front seat belts into the well behind the front seats by the forward rollbar attach point. Now the passenger belt is just a bit short for a fullsize adult, in the form of my younger son, a "foodie" who made the best smoked duck and oyster gumbo I have every tasted during Thanksgiving.

Would someone suggest alternate front seat belt attachment points to give me just a bit more slack?

On my 83CJ7 the reel attaches to the door opening support to a pre drilled anchor nut and the top one attaches to the rool bar withe the inboard latches attaching to the floor board, I would say that if you need more room move the reel further up the door frame

I had the same issue with my 8. I got a 12" extension from JC Whitney. It adds a foot of length to the bottom of the seat belt that mounts to the floor behind the reel. Does that make sense? I added one to the driver side as well since My wife could not buckle the time she tried to drive the Scrambler since she had to slide the seat up so far.

gr8dain, I'll look it over one more time to be sure I haven't missed anything. I think the extension is the right move.

I run the driver seat pretty far back, but the pax seat doesn't reposition.
