Hi Guys,
I've determined that I want to ditch my carb and go to fuel injection. My preference is the Mopar MPI conversion, but I see the kit is for 1981-1990 Jeep AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l automatic. My jeep is a 1980 with a rebuilt 1978 258 and has a T-176 manual tranny. What changed on the 258 in 1981 that prevents the MPI kit from working on older engines? Is TBI my only option?
Thanks for the help!
