Not much to report. Nice to have the house and garage for sure. They just seem to steal Jeep funds. :mad: Thats pretty much left me with ordering wiper linkage and not much else. Looks like I'll hit some loose ends on the Scrambler and then bring the CJ7 in.

I might have wiper linkage in the garage.
 
I wish I could afford it...or trade you + cash..but it's not even remotely possible...if it was, I'd be there this weekend..I've always wanted an "8" but could never find one affordable..lol
 
Its a little sad but the cash will get the CJ7 trail / road worthy and clean it up to boot. Ive been talking with my older brother and hes gonna be helping me out with all the welding I need. Thats a huge plus cause Im already planning the off road trailer I'll need. :D

Theres been plenty of interest in the Scrambler already.

I got a feeling ur gonna regret selling it any way. So damn sure don't give it away. Just remember everybody coming to look at it doesn't know the relationship you have with it and they want it for nothing. I just read ur whole thread today at work an to tell ya the truth I was kind of sad myself that ya decided to sell it. But I know how things are. I had to chose between two different projects on my first jeep... That was ten years ago and I finally filled that void. But at least ur other project is another jeep. ( mine was a blazer) but anyway depends on how much ya like the scrambler... I just wanted another jeep all this time.
Hold ur guns though don't let them talk ya down on what ya know it's worth!
My 2 cents turned into half a dollar...
 
Thanx and well put. :) If things werent so slow at work I wouldnt be selling. Maybe things will pick up but the company is painting alot of doom and gloom. Not the best time to be in a contract year.
 
Still been working on it. Got the top bolted down and replaced the wiper linkage. Gonna take the carb off tomorrow and see what size jets are in there. Im hoping their pretty big and changing them out will solve my last bit of carb trouble. :)

I wouldnt of thought to tighten down on them before loosening them. You can see if you enlarge the pic that the one on the right was starting to get boogered up. Thats when I pm'd you. Jet remover was $20 so saved a couple bucks as well. Vicki was supposed to be picking me up some #46s but hasnt found her way home yet. :rolleyes:
 
Well my carb jets are in Washington as we speak. :rolleyes:

Bleeding brakes today. I do mine old school so I grab a clear bottle along with a clear line so I can see any bubbles.

I had to enlist Vicki to help with pressing the brakes from inside the cab. There was alot of fun banter between the 2 of us.

Me: Pump
Her: u ready?
Me: Yes

Lets just say it was fun and leave it at that. :D

I have to do the rear drum brakes as well. You may want to look at your brake fluid after you see my results. I purged everthing out of the front disc system.

Heres the difference in the master cylinder afterwards.

Woke up this morning and my jets were in Philly. :eek:

They were here when I got home. Headed to the garage :chug:

Messed around a bit with the Scrambler the last 2 weeks. I ditched the h.e.i. and got her running decent again. I still had everything to take her back to the stock ignition. Still running rich even with the new jets.

Yayy! Im a little above Cro Magnon man now. Heres the other test one I made. Now I just have to figure out how to make them longer than 30 seconds. :D
