The bad news is Ive been stuck in the bathroom for a week. I had promised the wife Id redo our bathroom since it looks like something straight out of That 70s Show. The only progress has been a small amount of cleaning and painting parts. Im definately going to get down to the garage sometime this weekend.

Damn those two names are on my list too. Seems Morris 4x4 Jeep Center has really deep Customer Service issues. May have to find another vendor. Bye Bye Morris.

Im just disgusted right now. Snuck a little garage time and thought Id get a little progress. Both of the rearward spring hangars refuse to let go of the bolts. I pounded on them with a 2lb. hammer and tried in vane to heat them with my little propane torch. I managed to start the bushings on fire and got a major bunch of :dung: in my eye being in a hurry and not putting on my glasses. What a depressing day. :(

Well if your like me ( stubborn ) its amazing how your Cj can just piss you off. Ive been in a bad mood for alot of the last 2 weeks now and after the bolt episode, was ignoring the Jeep. One of those attitudes where you say " Fine , if it doesnt wanna cooperate F**k it , let it sit."

Problem is they do just that. They dont sulk. They know youll be back. You love your Cj. So the Scrambler waited till I finally pulled the panties out of my crack and got back to work. 2 bolts holding this up? No problem I say. I dont have any replacements, so I need to keep the originals undamaged.

I start by taking off 1 nut and trying to back out the bolt. No go. Put the nut back on so as not to damage the threads and wail away with a common ball pean hammer. Nothing. At this point it just seems that the bushing is absorbing all of the power my short little fat frame can give it . Pull out the bigger 2lb hammer. More shock value , than anything else , except a couple globs of grease and a few specks of rust in my eye.

Pete, boy do I know how you feel - Thursday started out a bitch and got worse - by Friday I'd a sold the whole damn thing for the price of a 6 pack. Maybe I'll go back in the garage in a few of days cause like you said "I love my Jeep"!

Man Pete, I thought I had bad luck. I feel for ya.

I could "almost" see how the lift shackles and that were screwed up the FIRST time but then the second and now this. Ugg. Im waiting till I feel I can have a civil conversation tomorrow. Ive had to be on the phone with Domestic Relations and Unemployment this week as well , my nerves are shot. :(

Unemployment can makes ya nuts. I almost gave up on a weeks check just so I didn't have to deal with them on the phone. I must have went through half a dozen people each time I called and it took a few times to get it all straight. Almost makes work seem not so bad.:D
