Dang CJ, i just found this thread. I feel for you.
My darned cat Elsa ran off last summer. I live in the mountains, lots of forest up behind my house.
I figured that the owls, or something got her. She has her claws,& has survived for 8 years. After 3 months, i had given up ever seeing her again.
I came home one day,& there she was. Other than a lot of purring, she hadn't changed one bit.
So,
happens.
Love them cats, dogs, & whatever will love me back.
