New to the CJ World

Hey, I just bought my CJ, and got the first picture as I picked it up, will be posting more. Tell me what ya think, anything and everything. It got the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l straight six with a 4 speed, full fiberglass body and is in pretty good shape. I can't wait to dig in and start workin on it!

I always get a kick outta this. Google ( CJ ) the production run of Cj5s and then Cj7s. Let me know what you come up with , and if the scale may be slightly balanced in the Cj5s favor. That being said though the CJ7 cant beat the classic lines of a CJ5 . Both are actually a bit small when it comes to having anything other than passengers though. Add anCj8 to your collection and you'll both feel better.

Honestly though , I feel Baja has it the best overall with a clean CJ6

Is there an easy way to tell which tranny I have? I haven't been able to dig into it yet but I am not sure what tranny it is. Any tips?

Do you have pictures?
Is it aluminum or steel? Does it have a PTO cover?

I solved the chicken or the egg problem.

The chicken came first and I can prove it!

I agree with CJ as long as it's a jeep cj it's good to go.

thats the truth. my CJ5 was free. if i paid the money i would get a 7 or 8 for leg room lol.
