This spring I installed a twin stick in my 74 CJ5 .
Last night I tried to shift into 4high but the front lever wont budge.
I can shift 2high, 2low, neutral/neutral, and 4low. just not 4high.
What's going on?

No 4low?

I have a '75 with twin sticks. I also left the pills in place.

To go into 4high - place the drive stick in 2 (rear wheel) high first, THEN go to the front wheel control (Right stick) and pull it back. You might need to feather the chutch a little to unbind the gears. Both sticks will be in the rear position.

To go back to 2 high, move the front wheel drive lever to neutral

To go into 2 low (rear wheel only) move the left lever forward into neutral, then forward into low.

To add the front the wheel to the drive system move the right lever forward. When in 4wd, both sticks will be forward

To go into rear wheel low, move the right lever to the neutral position

To go to rear wheel high move only the left lever to neutral then back one more slot to high. Your left lever (the rear wheel control stick) will be to the rear, the Right lever (the front wheel control stick) will be in the middle or neutral position.

Thanks but, I know how to shift it, the problem is, when the rear wheel lever is in high the front wheel lever wont go into high.
Like I posted before I can go to 2 high, 2 low, and and 4 low, just not
4 high.

Could you go into 4high before the twin stick conversion? If you couldn't there's a problem, if you could there's a problem with the twin sticks...... Yes, I know that is obvious. I'd pull the inspection plate and check for an obstruction of some sort.

Not sure if it worked before as there was so much slop in the old linkage it difficult to shift at all.
I'm certain the problem is inside the Transfer Case , I was just hoping someone here had delt with this problem before.
