CJ7, year to be determined
Hey all. Just cut a deal on a CJ7 . Not sure of year, has the I6. Great shape, no rust to speak of which is extremely unusual here in northern NY. It came down from Alaska with a neighbor. He's moving and for $300.00, well, even a cheapskate like me can't pass that up.

So here's the questions- I have a 95 YJ that the rust is just killing. The body mounts are collapsing, windshield frame (new 10 years back) is rotted out, fenders full of holes, doors hard to shut from flex in side panels. It's going to become a field Jeep. It'll take the place of the old 59 CJ5 thats in far worse shape. As I understand it, the YJ doors will more or less fit the CJ7 and the hard top may too. This rig may become an on road vehicle, or so I'm thinking. Will the doors and HT fit without major surgery?

TIA

Here is what I can tell ya... My CJ7 top and doors fit my yj tub no problem.... But I put a cj tailgate on also. From what I understand the yj tops lift gate has a notch in it so you can open the swing out tail gate with the lift gate closed ( insert correction here) so I'm not sure if that area would cause an issue. I supose it would allow you to open the fold down tailgate with the liftgate closed as well (insert correction here) But otherwise it sealed up fine. Hope this helps.
