NOVAK ADAPTER FRUSTRATION-Please help!

NOVAK ADAPTER FRUSTRATION-Please help!
Hmmmmmmm. Still nothing from Novak.

Never dealt with them before this swap... could someone let me know their experience with them? I would prefer someone who needed additional assistance once they have been paid...
Is their word good? Or should I forget that I was told that they are going to machine a thicker sub-adapter spacer? If I need to move on, why would they lead me on?
However, if I just need to be patient that is fine. Just would appreciate it if someone would get back to me fast like they did when I first inquired about their products....

Again, if someone that knows the company and people could let me know their experience after they paid for adapters they make, I'd appreciate the support. :D

Haven't been in your shoes, but be patient, they are a big company with lots of irons in the fire. I know it isn't exactly easy, but give them a week, then call them and scream like a caged beast about time lines and how much they are costing you in mechanic and storage fees. Maybe not exactly true, but you might need to get their attention.

Seems typical to me when dealing with newly marketed products and/or design
changes. They'll stand behind it and what they will do for you; just may not be on your time schedule.

Put another call in-You waited your time.
You want a supervisor or such, now.......
Good luck,
LG

You funny hedgehog. :D
I will try to be patient.

Hager! Thanks for your words of wisdom as they have calming effects.
I'm just really antsy and can't wait to drive again as the cj is my only vehicle.

However, It sounds like Novak's word may be good.. So I will try to be patient. I just needed to know that they are honorable and will follow through. :)

LG she was talking to Eric the owner.......

Hey Hager!
So if I was talking with the owner I will try to sit and wait. When do you think I should contact them?
It will totally be worth it if they can get it out to me ( hopefully by the end of this month). However, if they manage to redesign the entire adapter (by extending the tranny shaft end) and able to eliminate the sub-adapter I can wait longer. Just wish they'd keep me posted on how things are going. :chug:

76.........I would pursue that conversation "NOW" with whomever you last talked with that said they were in the process of building you one.......

As far as a re-design of there current offering I would be surprised if that ever happens......

These adapters are made for the masses in the market place which normally would dictate that design and cost. Not to say I have never cut up and adapter or made some mods to it......shorter lengths are always an important part of any swap as it just gives the builder more options.........most folks swapping in a tranny would be OK with cutting off a little spline length to gain that advantage.........compared with lots of these Manual tranny swap kits that come with a new main shaft already shortened that are more expensive.

I understand this is your first swap and your anxious and apprehensive about what lies ahead in your project which is totally understandable , and for some of us that part is the most fun in doing swaps , whereby the target is always moving as will as the thinking cap is always engaged while still getting a little education each time along the way........

Having the prior experience and a shop full of equipment obviously makes this process much easier.

I personally would re-consider the cutting of that existing shaft so that your project can move forward.

Do the job once, do it right the first time.
Is Novak perfect, probably not.
But they will make it right.
I'm positive about that.

AWESOME NEWS!
I Received my sub spacer adapteradapter!!!!!!!!:p Didn't get longer bolt/studs but I can run to the hardware store or automotive store for that. I haven't installed yet (since I need to get the bolts, but the sub-adapter spacer looks good..

I told Novak that I will keep them informed on how it installs and works. And they included a pre-paid shipping label so I can send the shorter one back to them. :D

++++++(HOPE they will one day make the adapter without a spacer (expand the tranny shaft housing side.. I would love to get prototype too!!!!!!!!!!++++++++

Thanks everyone for all your support! Also want to say thank you Novak for a job well done! Please don't forget me if you do you make a prototype without the spacer!!!!

Hey LG!
Thanks for your support!

I haven't been able to get to the hardware store yet to buy the longer bolts but hope to this week.

I will upload some more pics soon. :chug:

All I've got to say is, "I'll be darned, never thought it would happen without costing a bunch of money. You be good Girl!"

Thankfully Novak is a company that listens to the little gal. :o
I am very impressed with the quality of the adapter and especially with their eagerness to please everyone and are open to new ideas. ;)

Hope if they decide to make the Transmission adapter shaft longer (that spans the entire 3" of the splines and without the sub-space adapter that they'll send me a prototype too.

Good for you, glad you are getting the pieces together that are needed to get that new motor & tranny in place.
