Offy/Weber 1984 CJ7 Power Brake Booster Clearance

1st post. I acquired this Jeep project and have dug in heavily as of late. During reassembly I have ran into a bit of a problem. The project came with an Offenhauser intake and Weber carb, which I decided to use. Looked like less work than restoring the original set up that also was included. Now what I have is a clearance problem, 1/8" between the booster and carb. Either a different carb or smaller booster. Which is the lesser of the 2 evils? Thanks. Here are some pics.

First, welcome to the forum from another cheese head! I don't know much about the Weber setup that you have, but have had good performance from the stock setup that was in our J10 with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . As for quick and easy, I would tend to go with a different booster if you are happy with the Weber. Pretty much a bolt in swap, and there are a lot of different sizes to choose from. Seems to me that I only paid around $60 for a chrome booster on eBay and it works great.

Bass, thanks for the response. I have not ran the Weber yet. Have not got that far. Sounds like linkage will be an issue with that as well. Going to proceed with the build and fire it up as is without linkage just to see how it runs first. Then decide which way to go. Cheapest 7" I found on eBay is $139 free ship. Got a bit further today with it.
