OMG Should I restore this? And another Cj-7 as well.

Well Jeep #2 guy never called or showed. :( Took a bit of the wind out my sails for sure. He was looking to get a Rubicon and needed the money to bring his payments down. Maybe the Rubi sold or he just came to his senses and kept the Cj. Wish he wouldve called but I've been on both ends of this situation.

Well, look at the bright side. Now you can put all your effort into this project till the next opportunity comes along.

I wish that were the case. Its killing me having $$$ in my pocket and the project downstairs. :bang: Ive been through this before though and I need a driver before I start spending money on the Limited . Last time I ended up flip flopping between 2 Cjs and neither got done.

I'm sure the wife will find you another one real soon ;)

Pete, just send me your money and I will buy something for me, I mean you.

Considering that the Limited 's T-176 needs a rebuild , and the search for an automatic can be very frustrating , Drivers Ed. will be scheduled for Vicki this weekend. :)

She has agreed to ( actually brought it up ) that her learning manual will make the search easier.

The T-18 Cj search is on .

Ha Ha , She said she appreciates the support. :chug:

Very true ;)

Now when I come home from work today she has a couple craigslist searches saved for me. Anyways I like the looks of one thats about 5 hrs away. I send an email and stew on it a bit.

Theres a phone number in the ad so I break down and call it. I end up in a wonderful Old School conversation about Cjs that sucks up 27 minutes of air time.

While I do enjoy surfing the internet it was great to get a "feel" of who I was talking to over the good old telephone. If the Jeep was within an hour of here Id already have it back here. As it stands I'll soon be in contact with his son for a couple more pics and info.

I dont want to jinx it so Im not sharing pics yet. Im a tease. :D Lets just say its kinda my style. ;)

I call that "guarded optimism" Pete, it ain't a done deal 'til it's a done deal. Hope it works out for you.

Another 25 minutes of conversation tonite. I love this guy. :) 95% sure this deal will be done. As a Steelers fan its only appropriate I viist the city.

Good luck Pete!

I think most of you will know why I like this one. :D It looks eerily familiar. ;)

Cj-7-1.webp

I wish you luck getting it :chug:

Well a month and a half later the deal is closed. The snow is starting to clear and the CJ7 will be here by the months end. I used Uship.com and will let everyone know how that worked out in the end.

So strangely enough I am ending up with both the Cj-7s in this thread.
Thankfully that gets me out of teaching the Drivers Ed. portion of this thread. :chug:

Pics and a new thread to follow:)

It's about time, :dbanana:
So tell me again so I don't have to reread all the threads...which one is yours and which one is Vickies.

The one above is hers since its an automatic. Mine will be the never ending Limited project. She has to share till mine is done. :D
