Can you elaborate on this statement? Newer YJ undercarriage

76 CJ5 did not come with Dana 44 in the rear, so that has been added... AMC 304 probably was stock.

I just don't know what YJ parts could have been added to a CJ5 on the underside... if you could give more specifics, that would be great.

Welcome aboard. Judging by the picture you have lock out hubs on the front diff which would imply that it is the original type Dana 30 front axle  The Als Liner product looks neat that would allow you to spray what ever you want whenever you want...However I havent ever heard of them before. Have you ever seen their product in person before?

Correction: the rear diff & axle are from a yj... there's issues there. i'll post those pics in a separate thread on the drivetrain forum soon.

Has anyone ever done a complete liner job on their entire jeep?

If that is true, then the pumpkin would be on the driver side vs. the passenger side up front... and the rear would be a 35? Depending on the year I suppose... get some more pics of the underside and we can tell you what you have.

Go with U-pol Raptor liner, it's tintable so you can make it any color you like and a kit comes with everything including a gun to spray it yourself. It's what I would use.

I was able to do some favors and get a pass into the Las Vegas SEMA show... Their stuff looked good, and the flat finish was a big bonus... I think the rubbery nature of the product will do well on the outside of the body and especially on the fiberglass hood and fenders.
The biggest bonus is they already have tan and grey as their base colors, which will save me on tint and extra steps.

What i'm most worried about are all of the seams on a 76 body... There's a lot of rust/rot there... I'm in the process of breaking down the body now to see how bad it is, then I may just be in the market for a new tub.
But if i get a new tub... then i'll have to upgrade the motor... and the suspension... and the drivetrain... :)
