Opinion Needed

So i needed an opinion. Does it look like I'll be needing to replace both the Tranny and Transfer Case ? (from the pics)

There is a local here selling a Dana 300 and T-176 for $1200. Being that he is a friend of my mother, he said he could cut me a deal, not sure what that is
but im assuming if i was to do this, then i would need the adapter plate correct? I think it was previously attached to a v8

Transfer Case looks okay. You just blew out the tranny at the fifth gear cluster. A good T-176 should cost no more than $300. More if it has been recently rebuilt. No adapters required for the T-176 , however, you may need to change the length of the driveshafts. A good Dana 300 around here is $350. A T-176 Dana 300 combo should be no more than $700-800.

The T-176 usually came bettween a Dana 300 and a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . But in '80 and '81 they were also found behind the AMC 304 .

It looks like the Transfer Case linkage is damaged.

And yes $1200 is high.

Definitely high priced, that same combo just sold locally for 400. AMC 150 for the tranny and 250 for the TC.
