Hey guys,
So I spend today ripping out all the unnecessary wires around my engine. The PO had done a real botch job installing a Howell TBI kit. Instead of removing the old wiring, he simply spliced in the new wires into the old ones. He didn't even bother removing the old wiring harnesses. He just disconnected them and stuffed them all behind the cable loom tubing. I probably took out about 10 harnesses and 20 feet of wiring.
Now that I can finally see the engine, i noticed there are two separate wiring harnesses attached to the bottom of the overflow tank. What possible reason would you need wires going into the overflow tank? Can I just rip them out, or are they essential?
Thanks!
