shared a little frustration on my other "Close as I could get" thread...now for the good news. Fella emailed me back with more info and an insight on when I can get my tub.

The reason for this post is that he said there's a CJ5 (1973 I know) and a CJ7 (didn't mention year) with "lots of useable parts".

Is there anything you guys might need that I can look for? I'm in Selma, VA 24474. I see what's there and what the prices are. If you're within a 100 or so miles...I'll meet you somewhere...if you're too far away and wanna float the shipping, I'll do that.....whatever I can do to help

I'll be taking picutres of my Jeep tomorrow and I'll post some. I should know more about these "parts" Jeep(s) by the first of the week and will post that up too

I wish that I was closer to you but I am all the way west and up, Alaska. It is hard to come up with parts up here that do not cost a arm and a leg.

Alaska! My brother likes to frequent your beautiful state for fishing purposes once a year. I've seen some pretty good pictures that he has taken but I myself cannot afford it.

I reckon shipping would cost you just as much, if not more, than what you're dealing with now but if I can get it to you cheap...I would be glad to. I don't think these "parts" are going to be very expensive at all. When I find out more, I'll let you know. If we can make it happen cost friendly...we will. How bout that? Thanks for the welcome, gotta say that this is the nicest forum that I have ever joined.

I thought that too when I joined. You don't get the "that was a dumb question" and so far I have gotten my questions answered. You get the jabs once and a while, but that happens. I like how the site was and so I got my son on the form he is only 14. We are working on a project it is under KTN YJ.

So were does you brother go when he comes up here? I live in Ketchikan in SE Alaska on a island, only way off is by plane or by boat.

Not sure...I know he has to have a plane too. Pretty cool pictures of taking off and landing on water. Wherever he goes I know that they fly out and then it takes 4-5 days to float back. He went somewhere for the fourth of July, when he gets back...I'll ask.
