Parts Supplier

Just curious to know who are you favorite parts suppliers?
I guess we can break it down into:
Performance?
Restoration?
Aftermarket?
2 that I have been impressed with only are ACME and Morris 4x4.

Oh lets add
cheapest?
Best quality?

I guess we can go on forever with this list....

acme and quadratec are basically the same company. that said i just shop around for who has the best deal on what i need. now for basic auto parts tune-up, brakes, etc. i only use advance auto parts, simple because i know everyone in there and they know their stuff pretty well.

Restoration Bodywise : Classic enterprises.

Aftermarket : Morris 4x4 and 4wd hardware

Cheapest : All different for different parts The two above are usually good.

Best Quality : Summit for performance , the others pretty much carry alot of the same stuff.

plus Napa, they get me a lot of stuff the others kinda just seem to never be able to find. Such as the GM caliber mounting bolts I needed last week. No one else even knew where to start.

I'm not a fan of 4wd or there sister 4wheel parts, I do use Tellico4x4 alot.

Interested in why your not happy with 4wd. They are based in Ohio right? I dont care for Quadratec alot and their based in Pa. Jegs is another good selection. Never dealt with Tellico 4x4. Hmmm.

i had good luck with 4wd,, but i drove to their store over in Columbiana. i also had good luck with quadratec, but that was ordering for a tj. I have yet to make any online purchases for my cj

My fault. You can get that really cool foot peg for the lower door mount so you can get a breeze to your man area while wearing shorts.

I don't really like to bash anyone so lets just say I've had some really bad luck with them 2 different times and 4wp one time. So bad I'll never use either of them again.
Back before 4wp bought them out I used 4wd alot with no problems.

I find Quadratec does not have very much for CJs, They are more about tjs and JKs, which is not a bad thing, I just want a catalog as big as theirs for 71 and earlier Jeeps, wife would not get me out of the bathroom for a week.

The merger couldve been part of the problem. I remember hearing others complain about that. Seems like your 4wd hardware is my Quadratec.

Back before 4wp bought them out I used 4wd alot with no problems.

Thanks for the edit Baja, that was another major part that I really had to decide if it would withstand the abuse , living just a few minutes from 4wp, I have heard numerous horror stories about them. I bought a set of shocks for my Silverado, the rears they had in stock, no issues, the front they had to ship to me from another store, again, not a big deal. I go to install them, and the incorret nut was in there for the shock, I had to go to Sears to get the correct nut, b/c that was the manufacturer, and they wouldn't do anything. Something as small as that, they won't get my repeat business.
