Pinto Engine Swap

Pinto Engine Swap
Does that make it a Feep? :D

If it wasn't a GPW it could be. Since it came out of the Ford plant, it's less sacreledgous to have a Pinto motor in it. :D

Nice comeback.:chug:

I bought it in 1980 good body new top and a 289 engine. To many headaches so I put in the 2.0. Been in the garage since 1982 and I'm finally getting back to work on it. Previous owner hacked it up to badly to go back to original. Just trying to make it look good it will always be fun it's a jeep.

Well I finally got it all together and had the original F134 Hurricane engine rebuilt. It turned out great. Starts and runs terrific. A little light on power in higher gears but it will climb trees in low gear. I use it around the country roads and on the farm.

If I had to do it over I think I would go for a V6 or small v8. Would really like to have more than 50 mph on the road.

Any pictures?

Any suggestions for a radiator, I don't have the original, currently I have single core cross flow from a vega (I think) and a electric fan.
