does anybody swap in a powerbooster like a ZJ style?
with the new tub weight becomes an issue. The old tub worked just fine. With the new tub the Firewall already bends slightly when moving the master cylinder.
May be a shorte unit makes a better Lever than my heavy and Long Setup.

It does look like you do have an aftermarket powerbooster in there already. Are you having any issues with the brake operation?
 
thats weird your firewall should not move regardless of what type of power brake booster you have. Is your brake pedal assembly completely installed? it ties the firewall and dash together to help support the load. Is there a reinforcement plate on the firewall? the factory tubs have 2 layers of metal. Also swapping to an aluminum master cylinder will help alot with the weight.
 
I run disc Brakes front and rear but I use the original Proportion valve. So all works fine.
And gert yes my pedals are all installed und the reinforcement plate is there, but it is just a small Piece, just a double layer. It worked fine for all the Installation inside.
But then with the load from the powerbrake the engine Side had Problems.
I Focus on two things: 1) less weight and more compact to have less stress on the Firewall and more clearance towards the engine. I am planing on a Supercharger maybe and thererfore i Need more space.

weight option is a aluminum mastercylinder or a modern style mastercylinder with plastic resevoir. Has anybody seen or done something like this?

Is that a dual 8" or dual 7" booster?...........

I see you have the linkage / ratio adapter on it which also pushes the unit farther out into the engine compartment.

Your into an area that I have been involved in many times when swapping brake systems.........the adapter is normally there to move the unit forward when firewall and hood clearance is minimal.....I have taken a dual 7" booster and mounted it directly to the firewall / brake pedal assembly , but in some cases the bolt pattern will also need to be changed and you also have to make sure the push rod coming from the pedals lines up correctly. That solves the master cylinder and brake booster intrusion into the engine compartment nicely.........

As far as the pedal moving the firewall I have added another brace under the dash that goes from the top of the pedal set bracket up towards the cowl area thereby cancelling that excess motion.............no two jeeps or installs are the same.....hard to explain ....better shown with pictures but for right now I cannot load any on this site.
