hi every body
When I got my CJ7 it was fitted with electric fans which sound like a jet engine when they run. As my jeep is never going to be used for rock crawling I have decide to go back to factory setup. But have run into trouble with the repro shroud in that it catch the fan. Just wondering has anyone else these problems also I running a 7 blade fan .
thanks

Mine use to have the 7 blade fan however I don't ever remember it having a fan shroud. On the up it ran perfectly fine without it. If it were me I would just run it without the shroud

I found one when I called one of the Colorado bone yards in great shape shipped to my house for less than $100 last year for my AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l

Check the condition of your motor mounts and Transmission mounts. If they are really deteriorated it can allow misalignment or movement of the engine compared to radiator and shroud. Most likely it's an issue with the repop part. I'd just hit it with a grinder until the fan doesn't rub and call it good.
