curious to know if anyone has ever swapped thier AMC20 rear out for a rearend out of an isuzu trooper I think the axle isnt wide enough but a buddy wants to try it? if done or heard of it done any info would be appreciated, thanks

The Isuzu axle (Dana 44 ) is wider than both a narrow-trac and wide-trac CJ axles. It has a six on 5.5 bolt pattern with 12mm studs. There is no way to convert it to 5 on 5.5 without custom axle shafts and rotors.
Trying to get a Dana 30 to be a 6 on 5.5 is rather involved, and you would still up up with 7/16" studs, so you would have two different sets of lug nuts.
