My CJ7 has an AMC/Jeep Trac-Lok rear differential.

I'm hoping to hear from someone who has been successful in removing the cover bolts on a similar diff. After several weeks of dealing with and finally loosening 10 of the 12 Torx bolts, two (upper) bolts remain. Each one is now stripped so the T40 torx bit sockets are useless.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Just my Nickel.95.....

Brakleen is a Great Cleaner.
But some times if it want to clean some things and not Wash it down to "Dry", I use Kerosene as a solvent cleaner. Being clear when fresh, you can gauge how much you have removed and if you need to keep going.
AND it does Not evaporate so quickly that it leaves Krud behind.
It also leaves a Very Light Oil residue on the parts and readily absorbs into the Fresh Oils on refill.

And just to note:
Here in the Area of BFE in the Frozen Tundra, slight amount of Kerosene was/is added to Gear Boxes, Axles, Pumps so the heavy oils flow at temps below Freezing. Then drained and refreshed come "Spring Break Up"

Kerosene works well. Some people don't like to use it due to the smell and disposal.

Little tip for that is drain it into a metal pan and light it on fire.

Yeppers,
I used it for my Burnables Pile starter fluid. Just like Charcoal Lighter Fluid.
Also if it is not a Sizeable amount, pour it into your Drain Oil Recycling Jugs. Our two local Truck Repair Shops Gladly take Drain Oil for their Shop Furnaces.

I've poured it into oil filters as well and placed them in different spots on my bon fire pit for lighting purposes
