Build Thread Renegade Resurrection!

Build Thread Renegade Resurrection!
Thank You for the questions, you are correct the pictures of the yellow jeep are with just the Pro comp lift , I installed the body lift when I reinstalled the tub after we undercoated it. It is funny you asked how the ride is, at first I will be honest it was very stiff and when you would hit a bump it would jar your teeth. Just this weekend I mentioned to my wife that it felt like maybe it was starting to relax a little bit because the same bumps weren't so jarring. I have been happy with the lift so far, no real complaint. I hope that helps and best of luck to you on your build!

First 3 pics are with just the lift and the 33's

Last 2 are how I brought it home with stock tires and springs.

Damn that's a purdy Jeep! :chug:

Thanks again! I think I will go with the Pro Comp lift. How long have you had it on? Also...sorry for all the questions...but adding the 1" body lift did you have to do anything more? breaklines...Transfer Case ...pitman arm? Just trying to see what I'm up against. Like I say, the stance of your jeep is perfect. Its actually pretty hard to find that. thanks again...saw your from Missouri so I guess we are neighbors...I'm in NW Arkansas. Again..thanks for the information.

Renegade , in what part of Missouri do you live?

Thank You Guys! I am just south of St Louis 15 miles or so, in a town called Arnold Mo. About the lift I have had it on for about a year and a half now, I would say for about a 1500 miles, most of them recent due to just getting everything back together.:D I really have no complaints, I am a larger guy 250+ and it still hasn't shown any signs of sagging!! :chug: It has been good quality for the money. I watched for the free shipping and also caught it on sale when they were offering a $AMC 150 .00 gift card!:chug: I ordered it through 4WD.com!

Entered the Jeep in the Midwest Jeep Thing Show and won 1st place in the Pre 1986! They had some very nice Jeeps in the show, a way cool J10 and a Willy's with an LS1 They won Peoples Choice and the Willy's Got best in show. Had a Great Time!:D

Congrats on the 1st place you have a very sweet Jeep

Yes, congratulations on the 1st place finish.

Pretty much complete, I am still looking to replace the bent front bumper, but that should be about it, still paying off the paint shop! I have had her up and running for a few weeks now and I am happy with the way she is running, just as usual she wants to die until I get past the first stop sign but then after that she runs like a champ. I can do 70 on the highway no problem:D, and can still manuever the Jeep Wave without being afraid to pull my hand off the wheel!:D Here are the shots from all sides with all the trim pieces back on. I had to manufacture and weld the little T bolts, then drill holes in the new paint.:chug::eek::chug:, but they turned out good.

Couldn't believe JP CJ7 Plates were available either!:chug:

:)Wow...........like I said ...........to pretty to get dirty.
:D:D:D:D

I read your post from beginning to the end today for the first time. Thanks for sharing the details and for posting all the pictures!

It turned out very nice! Love the rim/tire combo, the size of the lift and tires, the paint/decals and the fact that you did all that work on the tub yourself.:notworthy: The license plate is a nice touch.

I just wanted to say nice job and congratulations. I really like how it turned out- you did an awesome job!

Wanted to post a few shots in the snow, first snow of the year for us in St Louis! Wanted to show the Jeep with the restored top on as well! I am getting close to rolling over another mile stone. Happy New Year All !!!!:chug:

Ha.. the mileage is very close to the blue jeep we are working on. I'll get a picture up later this weekend. Very nice, buy yourself a drink and celebrate.

I just read through your thread. She is beautiful! :notworthy:
I am not far south from you....I am in Park Hills. Anyway, you did a great job.

Just wanted to do a little update, I have been upgrading the lighting and also found a NOS Emergency Parking Brake Lever on EBAY! I first want to thank Jimbo76CJ here on the website for the new Headlight Wiring system he is building. It is a real nice upgrade. I also found a NOS Parking Brake lever on EBAY, mine kept popping off so I was always having to put a block behind the wheel. I believe he has 3 more left! It was great getting out and working on the Jeep today, it hit 55 today so I figured a short topless ride was in order!!! :chug:

WOW, I remember looking at the start of your thread awhile back and now I read back through it again today :chug: I told my wife long ago that I wanted to paint my Jeep black, and I settled on Ultra 164 wheels which are similar to yours. You give me a great picture of what my Jeep can look like. Yours is drop dead gorgeous :chug:
