I hope you are getting some royalties :D
Ya it's on eBay Amazon all different websites..actually after a quick search it was actually the only jeep I seen

is there a weld in kit available that ties to the frame??

Any pics of this? Do any kit offer it?

I believe most of the 4x4 fab shops offer frame tie ins as options. try places like Genrite, MORE, blue torch fab , poison spyder to name a couple.

As far as the seats I'm not sure if those same shops offer seat tie in or not.
I had TKH, a shop my me do mine as Terry can weld way better than I can.
Since I have a fiberglass body I trust the cage more than the body.
for some reason I can't up load any pic's right now ?

I just put a sport cage in my jeep. I used the yj bars attached to the Windshield, and I replaced the CJ rolebar into a yj rolebar because of the fit of the bars to the windshield frame.
I got mountingbrackets to fix it to the dash.

So fare so good.
Now i want a additional floor mount, to support the brackets bolt to the dash.
Did anybody use the Rockhard floor mounts? What about the parking brake assembly? Will it work properly?
Or does anybody have an different solution. In winter I use my fulldoors, so there is not a lot of space at the dash to put a plate on top.
I am looking for a solution under the dash, sort of.
Thanks

I installed a full roll cage that went to the floor on my old CJ5 . It was a TANK! The guy I bought it from had reinforced it with so many cross member tubes, that when he flipped it backwards down a hill, his frame was twisted, but the roll cage was in perfect condition.

It really made a massive improvement in the rigidity and handling of the vehicle. It was like going from a convertable to a hard top. I'm not entirely sure you can get the same results when a roll cage is bolted onto the dash. Just my two cents!

Good Luck!

Thanks jzak,

I am sure a solid rolecage is the better way. I am more into a "sport cage"
It should help to keep me okay when I am flipping on the side. Like the mirror is broken bos, why... because the cars rests on it.

And to get a bit more strength I asked for the floor mount to get a unit from the cage to the floor.

1986cj7, rock hard also makes a back cage as well, the entire cage cost about $1300. I'm new to the jeep scene, but I have a bunch of people around me that love jeeps and also metal Fab. I priced out a home made cage that a coworker could make in his machine shop and without labor I was up to about $850. now add labor and design time and $1300 sounds great for a bolt in that can easily be dropped off at a powder coater and then installed. The link below shows the best pic of the entire cage with labeling. I hope this helps, I can't wait to order my full cage and get it bolted on. I'm looking at doing a dash mount cause I don't plan on going anywhere that is extreme. the cage is more for family safety on the roads. these old beauties don't exactly have the safest set up, lap belts, no air bags and if you hit anyone, your going airborne. Hope this helps. please post pics of what you end up doing.

Rock Hard 4x4 Parts Part RH1003-I - Angle Bar Clamp Set - - 4 Wheel Parts

sorry big pictures, but pictures.

This is a complete bolt on solution, so I can pull a few bolts and have my CJ7 like it came from Toledo.

As for one of the comments where you just drop it off and powder coat it and slap it in... I would always recommend test fitting it first.

ESPECIALLY with the older CJ5 's where the top mounted roll bar lives. Mine for some reason was mounted 1.5 inches further back than the test mule Rock Hard had. They were very nice and sent me custom length bars that I then cut and welded the clamps onto and took back the old bars, so all in all I have a very nice setup now, but if I had powdercoated it and slapped it in, I would have had to then cut/weld, etc. as they wouldn't take back a powder coated setup I imagine and I would be out some serious coin for a fix and redo to the powdercoat.

Just my $.02

Certifiablejeep. I would love to see how you did the latch system for the car seats. I wanted to do that as well. PM me if you wish! Thanks!

frame tie in in the front is a walk in the park but the back is a bit of a problem, from what I can see.
