Rough draft dash prototype

Rough draft dash prototype
Ok so I bent the dash just to see what it would look like, and check for clearances.
In order to clear the passenger's knee, I had to move the assembly over to the left more than I wanted, Making the speedo to be not in an optimal spot. So I'm not sure that I want to continue with this design now.
Opinions?

It looks OK to me but I can only tell from the shots you took.

Can you take another shot but just turn your head and look at the speedo while holding the camera in front of your face? Don't lean over, take it just as if you were driving and turned to look. Does the wheel block your view?

As you can see, the wheel does cover the speedo. But its almost in the same position as the stock speedo.

IMP, it's not that bad at all... You have a great view of the other gauges and I don't know about you but I can pretty much tell by the sound how fast I'm going...

 Normally I can, but the changes I've been making and the fact that I don't drive it much nowadays means I am lacking in that skill! I was hauling out to the area we ran in, got on it a little to catch up the my bride in her Durango (whom I had to pull out of the mud only once today!) Looked at my GPS unit and saw I was going 74.2 MPH! Man I like how this steering is set up. Nice easy runs at hiway speeds on back roads, no white knuckles here! :chug:

What if you made the flat section narrower & mounted the speedo above the gauges? I was thinking you could move the speedo closer to the gauges, but the steering wheel would still be in the way.
