Scout D44 w/ Late D30 Outers, etc.

Reading some conflicting info on this subject, so thought I'd ask, specifically:

Will late CJ7 ('86) outer C's, along with spindles, etc., work with a Scout II Dana 44 housing/axles? I understand it's not a problem, perhaps, with the narrow track parts, but I'm asking about the wide track compatibility. Thanks!

No, Dana 30 tube is 2.5", 44 tube is 2.75.

Thank you. I should clarify, I'm asking about the outer knuckles (and their associated hardware).

Ok, Dana 30 and Dana 44 knuckles interchange.
The knuckles fit, everything out from there will fit as well.

If you go with an aftermarket diff cover you may have a fitment issue with the TR hitting the cover at full turn. Dana 30 knuckle arms are shorter then the 44
