Slips out of 2nd gear.....

CJ7 I'm considering purchasing, but has a issue. Need advice.
I'm looking at purchasing a semi-restored 1983 CJ7 . Here are the specs he provided.
92K Miles
Engine:
- AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l cu in (AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l L) AMC I6 99.4 PS (73 kW; 98 hp), 261 N·m (193 lb·ft)
- Optima 12v red battery (Brand new)
- 2 barrel carburetor
Exterior:
- Black Glossy Paint (2 year old)
- Hard top included
Exhaust:
- Hedman Standard-Duty Uncoated Headers
- Dual Exhaust with Flow Master Mufflers
Transmission :
- 5 Speed Manual
Interior:
- New seats, front and rear (rear seat is a fold up, but has not been attached to the body)
- Includes hard doors, new interior panels, new interior door handles, new exterior handles, new weather stripping (currently disassembled)
- New carpet, thick rubber backing
- Bikini top
- Roll bar padding
He said there are 3 issues that he's knows of.
#1. Fuel Gauge dead. Says fuel tank and sending unit have been replaced.
#2. On cold start you have to hit the throttle pedal a few times. Warm start is fine.
#3. Will slip out of 2nd gear. “The 2nd gear issue only happens when I slow down and push in the clutch, when I'm coming to a stop. I know this happens, so I just keep light pressure and it stays in gear.” Says this began shortly after a 1 inch body lift.
#3 being my main concern.. Comments??????
