speaking of having a cold one

Hard to go wrong with anything from Lagunitas or Stone breweries. I've also been very impressed with the Bengali Tiger from Sixpoint Brewery. Darn tasty and comes in a 16 oz. can! The Hi-res is also good and has a alcohol content north of 10%.

The local brews are pretty good too. Monday Night and Jeckyl are close by as is Sweetwater. The Sweetwater Blue is a favorite out on the boat.

Just cooled down with a Shock Top Belgian White. Pretty tasty:drool:

So, I tried two new brews this evening. Spotted a sign that read: HOMEBREW DEN. Sounds yummy right? Wrong. It was a supply store for home brewers. BUT, they brew for the pub next door, so I had to go see. Got to sample a bunch, but ordered a pint of 'Lost Coast Tangerine Wheat'. I'm definitely digging all the citrus brews this season. Also tried a Purple Haze, compliments of the I.T. guys sitting next to me;) Pretty good too. Will do both again, one day. Too many more 'firsts' still to try...

Purple haze is great. It my favorite fruity beer. Abita make all kinda of food beers too.

Good

So with Sunday looming ahead, and me living in the Bible Belt where Beer is NOT sold on the Sabbath, I headed into town earlier and picked up a 6-pack of Dogfish Head namaste- a white beer brewed w/ orange slices, lemongrass, coriander & peppercorns. Chillin' it down and looking forward to trying one tomorrow...

So, this namaste kinda sux. But, I'm drinking it anyway because a person should take responsibility for her actions and I did , after all, open the bottle...

Guess what I drink 99.9% of the time? I have tried many beers but I don't know what I am looking for. BL works for me.
