Speedo cable oil leak

Does anyone know the best way to stop a oil leak at the speedo cable attachment on Model 18 Transfer Case ?

New o-ring on cable side or you can make a gasket.

I think they came from the factory leaking .LOL. Don't know of a o-ring on that piece. On the positive side I found a fix for the cable leak on both my dana 18's.This involved machine work for a o-ring and a valve stem seal.
No more leak!Kinda hard to explain here but it involved a metal lathe and brazing the grooves in speedo gear shaft closed.I believe the problem comes from Transmission gear oil draining down to Transfer Case and over filling it.Next time I have it apart I will install a sealed bearing on the main shaft (output) That is a old fix and I just forgot to do it.
