Starter Rebuild?

I have a 1965 CJ5 that sat for 10 years cause my dad thought the flywheel was missing a tooth and last fall i took the starter out and everything was fine...the bendix in it was not engaging out, so now i need a starter rebuild or a new starter......any help, info, sites will be very usefull....

Welcome to the site Ryan.
I personally haven't rebuilt a starter but I'm sure the other guys will
post up shortly. Electrical/automotive shops usually charge about
$50 - $60 to do a rebuild.

wow, I have not rebuilt a starter in 25 years, they are just to cheap to buy rebuilt ones now days. It seems that I cannot justify the time and sffort to rebuild one when I can run to AZ and get one for real cheap
