Misc. Starting my build and have questions.

Thanks for all the great info!

Starting build on 83 Laredo CJ7 . Be mostly street and some beach driving. Summertime only.

Looking at OME YJ conversion lift. Seems to be best fit. Will be running 33’S. Will drivetrain be fine stock?
Looking for suggestions on tub and wheelwell undercoating?? Considering Raptor Liner.
Suggestions on interior coating? Want to be able to hose out.
While I have body off suggestions on steering upgrades??

Someone removed all emissions stuff but don’t see a nutter mod. Will be doing body and frame this winter and engine next.

Welcome to the site. Bunch of good guys here who are very helpful.

Before anyone can help, there will be questions about what we’re starting with.

The CJ’s current state is needed before any recommendations can be responsibly given.
-Stock drivetrain?
-Stock suspension?
-Rust/damage/repairs made anywhere?
-Any mods made by previous owners?
-Pictures are valuable.

If this will be a long term project, you might ask the Admin, “CJ”, to roll this thread over to the “Builds” threads, where it’ll get more focus.

I monitor all posts so if a build is started that will happen...

Completely stock, no rust, no damage, and other than emissions all disconnected all original.
