hi, I have a question I am installing a holley sniper and summit racing hei distributor https://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-850047 got to figure out what spark plug wires to use.
but the big question is
do i also still need to use the ingestion module?
I guess this is a really stupid question from someone putting a jeep back together, I just dont know. I am also installing speed hut tach , i need to figure out wiring. ( new painless harness)
okay start laughing at me.

but thanks for any help.

I have the same HEI distributer and it has a set of MSD Street Fire Spark Plug wires. You can toss the old ignition module. You don't need it.

The HEI has the ignition module (a 4-pin unit) inside. No external device is needed.

The distributor itself only has three electrical connections, 2 are required. You need ground (through mounting, no separate wire), switched ignition power on the "BAT" connection, and the optional tach output. It's a lot easier if you have the right pig tail connector spliced into your wiring harness:

For the tach, you will run a wire from the HEI to your tach, connecting to the specified "Tach" connection on the HEI connector.

I have the pig tail. so i would hook one line up to tach ( straight to the speedhut unit) and the other keyed power ( off the painless wiring harness. and i dont need old ignition module --cool

I will have to check my box again i dont think the distributer had any wires in the box.
looks like there are a lot of msd wires to choose from.

You're using a VPN that is using a Canadian IP and is physically located in Canada. Flags are determined by IP.
