Suspension upgrade ideas needed
^^ Now theres an understatement! Depending where this Jeep spent most of it's life... it could be the difference between opening a can of peaches or a can of worms! Good luck and as IO said soak now and soak often!

So the body lift is done as well as the rear ox locker and looking at the km2 tires. My gears are actually 3.23 and I'm not going to be extreme rock crawling but moderate off-roading and street use. With that in mind is there gonna be a big difference between the 32x11.50 vs 33x10.50 and I've ordered the jks quick disconnects. My Transmission is the t999 and the Dana 300 . Thanks in advance!

Was that supposed to be 3.73? There are no 3.23s that Ive ever heard of. :)

Yep, 3.73's or 3.31's maybe. The choices available were 2.73, 3.07, 3.31, 3.54, 3.73, 4.10, & 4.56. Older Jeeps could've had a couple even lower.

Sorry bout the typo!! Yea it's 3.73

You should be fine with 3.73s and 33s. Mine has 3.73s with 35s. It wont take off like a rocket up a steep grade or anything but its alright.

Thanks for the input. I've been having a lot of trouble with it dying when at idle and and using a lot of gas. We found a leaking intake gasket with carb cleaner and I hope that's the problem cause I'm ready to hit the dirt!

So here it stands with the 2.5 ome and 1 inch body lift and 33x10.50 km2s. I absolutely love the way it rides but I'd like to raise the front up to make it a little more level. U guys have any ideas?

When I bought my lift from OK4WD, they said that if I didn't like how it sat I could install the extra leaf spring in the front. I'm going to get started on the installation this weekend so I'll post some pics and update.

Did you go with the heavy duty springs all the way around? That may make a difference.

I like the way it looks too, thanks for posting pictures. Was it a pain?

Happy Jeepin'!:chug:

Unfortunately no I went with the medium but I'm thinking about the extra leaf spring myself. Definetly a much better ride and flex than the stock that were on it. Let me know how it turns out!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to raise the front of my jeep up? I've got the ome 2.5" plus a one inch body lift and the front end is a little low for some reason.

You could contact ome on that, there might be a heavy duty add-a-leaf that could be installed. That front aftermarket spring shackle is tilted a bit much, another thing to bring up.

You can get a Add-A-Leaf that will give you 2-2 1/2 inch.

So I'm not an expert on this but the ome springs are new along with the shackles.. Does this look normal and should it be tilted this far?

No, if you look at other Jeep pics in this forum you will notice that yours is a bit different, almost like an overloaded spring or one that has lost its arch.

I'll call them tomorrow cause I just took a measurement and the front is 1 inch lower

Install went well and I'm glad I went with the heavy duty springs. I've got some aftermarket bumpers and will be running a hard top in the winter. I'm with you, the ride is FANTASTIC. Gotta grease the springs and OK4WD said that'll help too.

Looks great! Gotta question... Did u move the shackle hangers forward any cause mine have a lot more tilt than yours?

It's too dark to go measure but I'm pretty sure it is cause it's the ome conversion kit. Pretty sure it comes that way but I could be wrong??
