Just bought a T-15 Transmission and it didn't come with a bellhousing. Is there another bellhousing that will work on the t15?
Thanks

If you dont get your answer, I can compare a couple for you, Im about 99% sure I parted an early cj two years ago, and IIRC, that bellhousing fits 71-75 CJ only (also 76-79 FSJ), so any jeep bellhousing from 71-75 CJ should work. If you have the bellhousing for your T-150 , its not supposed to fit T-15 . If no one chimes in differently, I can go looking for the T15 bellhousing and compare it to a T150 to see if the difference is obvious or not.

I had a T-15 in my '81 CJ5 hooked up behind a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . Late 70's and early 80's used a Ford bellhousing. I had no problems hooking up a T-18 to the same bellhousing. If no one has a definitive answer for you, I am sure a 4 Wheel Parts shop would look it up for your application.

The input shaft is longer on the T-15 and it has me thinking the bellhousing is deeper than my T-150 bell....also I read somewhere that the clutch fork is different on the t150?

I looked it up on the hollander interchange, and it shows they do NOT interchange. And in constrast to that, I also looked it up in the 74-80 AMC/Jeep parts catalog, and it shows all jeeps cj and FSJ's from 74-80 interchange except for the 4 cylinder. 321-3744 is the part number for reference. Im not sure where the bell housing for the T-15 is but will look when I head back over to the farm. Ive seen it in the last 6 months,... its here somewhere !

Oh, and the clutch forks change number after 74, and is not re-used, so it would appear they are different without looking at them. There are also several part numbers after 74.

I got in contact with the guy I bought the T-15 from and he is gonna give me the bellhousing that came off of it since my T-150 bell won't work. I pick it up Wednesday and should be wheelin by the weekend!!:D

Super, just for grins, how about updating this post, so we know collectively if they are the same or different ?

Thanks, BK.

I got the T-15 pretty cheap and am eventually putting a T-18 4 speed in probably June or July. As you pointed out, I can use the t15 bell if I get a t18 without a bellhousing.

Just discovered I have a T-15 and need bell housing. If I am reading right the T-18 fit, are there any others. Seems like a difficult part to find used. :(
