So I have a T-15 right now on my CJ7 /AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l with a 2.99:1 1st, horrible crawling, even though it's a tough tranny. I have an opportunity to buy a T19 with a bellhousing, clutch hardware and Dana 20 all hooked up. Was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago professionally by a local shop. It's already had the short input shaft put in. Guy's asking $500 for everything. First off, is the only difference between the T-18 and T19 synchronized granny gear? Second, is this a fair price?

Thanks

There are different versions of both transmissions, which meant different first gear ratios. The only one I am sure about is the Ford version which was the 6:32. Reading the link that CJ posted does confirm this.

Cool thanks. I know this one has the 6.32:1 Granny. Think I may pick it up for my project CJ7 . The 2.99:1 is just not getting it done.
