T5 Transmission, new mount now barely stays in 3rd gear need help troubleshooting

Hi all, new to the forum but I have had my 84 CJ7 for about two years now. I recently replaced the Transmission mount and torque arm bushings as the old ones were completely worn out. The old mount came out in three pieces and was totally shot. I installed a new poly mount and it seems to have raised the Transmission (T-5 ) slightly from the old one. I took it for a drive today and all seemed fine, except when shifting into 3rd. It will stay in 3rd if I have the clutch out but when the clutch is in if I barely touch the shifter it will pop put. It did not do this before I installed the new mount and am curious if anyone has any ideas where to start looking. Also it positively engages all of the other gears and this has never been an issue. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Make sure the shifter is not hitting the tranny tunnel cover.
Also-Might be time to change out your engine mounts.

All the other ones that look OEM, are China junk.

Thanks for the response I will check the clearance and will take a closer look at the engine mounts.

You might also check High Performance Transmissions Facebook page. The guy who runs it is Paul Cangiolosi. A wealth of knowledge on T5s and he’ll respond quickly.

FYI-They are not the same tranny.
Mounting MIGHT be the same.
