Just trying to wire my lights. Have orange, blue and yellow wires going to the back. The yellow has power. I'm trying to install flush mount lights. They have 3 wires; a white, red and black. How do I connect them. I think the white is a ground since it has a round clip on the end. When I connect the red directly to the +'ve on the battery and the white to the -'ve they light up.

The lights that you plan to use usually go like this: White - Ground; Black - Tail Lights; Red - Stop/Turn lights. As for your Jeep, are you talking about the CJ3b ? I'm not familiar with its wire harness, but you can attach a simple light probe sold at most all auto parts stores to each individual wires while turning the brake lights on, etc. Once you get this done, connect the wires with a water proof snap connector. You'll be glad you did in the long run. I get mine from eBay, cheep but worth the effort. Here's an example: 10 Kit 2 Pin Way Waterproof Electrical Wire Connector Plug LW | eBay

PB has you on the 'rite' path. ;)
If you're go'n to LED type. You will have to install a motorized type turn signal flasher.

Could be LED but it's hard to tell. What are the part numbers? Can you take off the rubber surrounds and open them?
Not a fan of Omix-Ada but they are about the only ones offering aftermarket (universal) turn signals for pre 72 Jeeps.

Many vendors sell them, this is just what I found with a quick search.

I don't know. Wire'em in and see how they work.
Does you CJ3b use a normal turn signal flasher?

Forgot to ask one important thing, do you currently have a turn signal switch?

Yes I have a turn signal. It looks like original equipment, but I don't know for sure. I don't think it works, since it doesn't click when trying to signal.

Ahh, that changes some things. Do you have a multi meter or test light. Here is a great page on 3b turn signal wiring for different switches. You may still end up needing a new switch using the links provided earlier.
