Build Thread The '80 FrankenJeep frame off reassembly
Maybe buy her some flowers or something works with the wife.

Picked up the new brake line yesterday - he was going to just replace the fitting that broke but said he was having doubts as to whether or not it would tighten up on the old line so he remade the whole thing. MUCH beefier fittings! I’ll get the other three done soon. Weird thing is, the reservoir wasn’t empty, so after replacing the line I just gravity bled that corner and wound up with a better brake pedal than before..... works for me!!

Well - I think I have everything ready for it’s “appointment “....... Took the morning off to get it’s sticker, but had a few more things to finish up. I’ll head over first thing in the morning.

I had to run by Advance Auto and pick up a couple things and couldn’t stand it - I drove it over sans sticker........ and then to work. If I get pulled I’ll plead shakedown run.

I hadn’t even gotten out of the parking lot but a guy came over to talk Jeep’s. These things really are a magnet these days!!

I'm wondering if you have one of those jeeps built on a Monday. Hopefully not a imbetweener either.

LOL - I’m still thinkin it’s female.......

Wait - there’s not much left of whatever was built originally - so that can’t be it........ GOTTA be female.

Have you taken her to the “appointment” yet? I need to know.

Well, as a matter of fact, yes - I took her to her appointment.....

Still have a bunch of small stuff to do, but I think I've turned a corner :dbanana: The fuel/air/timing thing is going to be fun, but shouldn't be too hard. To say I have been grinning would be a huge understatement

Congratulations ! Glad you have graduated to a driveable Jeep

:chug: Now go out and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Absolutely......

I mowed the yard today, and to cool down, I got my folding chair, a cold beverage, and just sat back and enjoyed the view of the mountain.......

Seriously - during the cleanout of my Grandmothers house after she died, I was tasked with the garage and his shop...... one of the things I dug outta there that came home with me was a set of lights, most likely off of a tractor. I had em Cerracoated satin black and was gonna use them for aux backup lights. But when I pulled the Jeep into the garage tonight I realized I needed a pair lights for the brush guard - so I set em there to see what they looked like....

I'm thinking about wiring them up right there till I get something else..... I can get the wiring done and just swap the lights later..... but now looking at the pic, it's possible a chrome light housing would look better. Whadya think?? Black or chrome lights up front?

I like them black. While chrome would match the lights in the grill, I am a fan of having as little chrome as possible (other than my wheels)

Also, I love the idea of incorporating the lights on the Jeep. Especially in the front.

Black,with orange any day !

I’m right there with you one the whole chrome thing. I almost blacked out my trim rings.....
