Im replacing the thermostat and im reading mixed reviews on which one i should get. Autozone and advanced auto have about 5 to choose from. How do i know which 1 i need?

Pretty hard to beat a plain ole Stant thermostat.

Don't get the Fail Safe. I think Auto Zone sells them. They do a great job of failing I've heard...

Temp wise there typically is a 160, 180 and 195 degree. factory usually uses a 195. Some guys like the 180 but in a FI smog vehicle it probably wouldent run right as it dosent get hot enough to work right. I suppose metallurgy also comes into play on modern engines also. Personally in a 35 year old Jeep with a carb id go 180 degrees.

I took my 180 and put a 195 back in mine. It's suppose to keep the sludge down and help with atomization of fuel.
