This made me want to cry when i saw this today

You may just be surprised at the L head engine. Especially if it has had the hood closed whilst it's been sitting there for all that time. Hope no one removed any spark plugs or anything else that would allow moisture in??
Let us in on the secret of how much he wanted. Was it ridiculous? And I hope you get it all in one piece. Looking forward to seeing the pictures of the rescue :-)
Congratulations!

And WorkingDog, I got her for 400.00

I am in route to my house with the precious cargo.

Well done. There wouldn't be many trencher's around - is my guess. $400.00 seems reasonable to me.

Here is the precious Cargo i transported home earlier today. May i SAy i am the Happiest Jeeper on this Forum site right now:D

Now that it's close-up...what sort of condition is it in? Could you get it working pretty easily?

She's pretty rusty but I can get her freed up. I'll
Just keep dumping used oil on the trencher when I get time. I am considering getting another old CJ5 and puttin it
On there once I get it freed

after getting her home i stripped the trencher free, and theres another picture loading up and only 8000 miles on that speedo:( so sad

Thats a legit speedo, the old style cjs were like that, measured in 10s. it was perfectly road legal out of the factory. and theres no hour meter but the guy i bought it from said it put in a ton of waterline in his little town.

You are to be commended for your efforts thusfar...
Most people would have suggested getting a few bucks for scrap weight..
Its definitely a very cool piece of history.
congrats

Introduce new Jeepers and offer nice, capable Jeeps for those who want a built Jeep but don't have the time. Just trying to keep the Cj spirit alive. I'm glad all the guys on this forum are Keepin old Jeeps alive and enjoying them for years and years.

X2 I've never seen such a heavy spring pack (save for maybe a M54 5 ton)

If you get on to restoring it, please post pics of your progress!
