Misc Throttle cable to gas pedal

Long story short, the throttle cable in my CJ5 (1974 cj5, AMC 304 ) broke snapped, and i replaced it. The only issue i am running into is how do i connect it to the gas pedal? I’ve attached a photo and video showing how the gas pedal is still on the floor, no tension whatsoever.

Are you asking how to get the cable to pull the pedal up off of the floor? You have to trim the carb side length (it's to long.)

Or buy a shorter cable there available in different lengths
