TJ headlamps into a CJ?

Is this doable? Has anyone done it? Why or why not?

Or...is Jimbo76cj's wiring bypass enough to get brighter/better light out of a standard halogen sealed beam?

Thoughts?

I did it in my 7. Went right in. Basically a h4 housing swap. Connector works but isn't technically a perfect fit.

H4 s are better bulbs, no doubt but I think powering lights from the battery through a 40 amp relay rather than running through the light switch cuts out a lot of voltage drop and makes the halogens work better. And if you do change to the H4 s you need to do this anyway. You would be surprised at how warm your light switch gets. I have melted terminals on the switch.
