Hello! I inherited a 79 CJ7 . I had to do a few things to it and it passed California smog after 12 years of sitting. I was driving it one day and I I realized the turn signal was not working well. Long story short, it was a rushed piece of trash so I bought new ones on Amazon. It was the whole assembly all I had to do was just plug and good to go. They both stay on when I turn my lights on. But; one of them (when lights are still on) will stay on , but blinks very very dimly. It's to the point to where I can't see it blink. The other one works perfectly. Any ideas of what it could be? I appreciate your help in advance.

I would be cleaning, and re-wiring all the tail light and front running light GND leads.
Did you check the flasher unit?
Do your brake lights work?

Thank you for the response. Brake lights, headlights, back turn signals, the lights on the side work. Everything works fine but that one signal.

Even a stronger reason to suspect either a GND or power connection.

I would first consider replacing the flasher and changing it out to a heavy duty type. The Jeep CJ is well known for being underwired and having issues with the electrical return circuit to the battery. With any electrical issue, you could run a jumper wire, like to the light socket to the battery negative to be sure. On my CJ, I have added a number of ground wires as normally it is grounded to the frame or body where steel is used as a conductor and it is not as efficient as using copper wire. Dirt entering near the turn signal handle can also cause problems.
