Twin Stick Dana 300

Twin Stick Dana 300
did you have to modify the floor plate at all for the handles/boot?? or anything inside at all?

All I had to do for the JB Fab sticks to fit without trimming was give them one good tweek to the right and no rubbing in the stock hole. Even before the tweek, they barely rubbed the left side of the hole.

Can anyone who has a Jb fab twin stick on there CJ7 with the Dana 300 tell me how far they stick up above the Transmission tunnel? Just trying to figure out how far the will stick up into the cab. Thanks

They are shorter than the stock shifter, and stick up about 7-8" from memory. It's cold dark and raining outside or I'd get you an exact number.

I cant get to it at the moment, however they are a few inches short of the dash and fairly short compared to the shifter you wont mistake one of them as the shifter :chug: sorry they are wrapped in electrical tape

Thanks guys... Does anyone have chance that they could actually give me a measurement? The po of my jeep installed a body lift and I am just trying to compare how much it will effect the twin sticks before I order them. Thanks

If no one beats me to it, I can get the measurement for you tomorrow, heading out the door (late too).

any finished interior pics at all??

Anybody have a chance to measure? ::D

7" from tunnel. Stock body mounts. Sorry no pics, cant find cord to download from camera.

My understanding was that IH and Ford made a deal. Ford would make pickups and SUV's and IH would stick to big Trucks. Don't remember the Union stuff. Rod

Not ever heard of a Ford/IH “deal” on what to produce but know the strike issue was true. This was a classic example of the Union strangling their golden goose. Why would Ford and IH make such a deal? What was in it for IH as Ford continued to make large trucks?

just pulled the trigger on the JB fab kit, cant wait to get it!!!:D

:chug::chug: you will love it very well made

Same here... Just ordered mine from Jb this afternoon. There website ordering was down but called Jon, he was great to deal with and answered all my questions. He said they will be on the truck to Iowa tomorrow. Can't wait to put them in. I got some diamond plate aluminum from a buddy and already have a new tranny tunnel cover cut out and ready to put the hole in for the twin sticks.:chug:

do you need to alter the tunnel cover?

The answer to that question seems to be sometimes yes, sometimes no. The required alteration is never very much.

yep i think mine falls under the more category, since i am rotated the Transfer Case up

Mine just needed a small amount of persuasion to the right and no trimming was required.
