Twin Stick Dana 300

Twin Stick Dana 300
Beuller,Beuller!

Please post up some pics from as many angles as you can. As mentioned before I had no real issues other than being slightly too close on the left side of stock hole position, and a quick jerk took care of that. The boot covered but not by a lot IIRC. Maybe a PO has clocked (rotated) the Transfer Case ?

will try and get some pics, some reason im starting to believe the tcase drop is screwing me.

i was thinking of doing something similar, tracing the old boot to make a plate then just cutting hole for the new sticks...the more i look at it, deff. looks like it may cover if i didnt have the tcase drop....ill see if i can get pics.

Get rid of the t/c drop.

dont i require it due to the 4" lift, where i dont have the upgraded driveshaft and have no idea what shims to use?

Pictures would really help but what I am doing with my twin stick install is.... I pulled the one tunnel cover of and traced it onto a piece of aluminum diamond plate, I also traced the hole for my manual tranny shifter and cut this all out. I also made a cardboard template... When I get my twin stick installed I am going to start with a small hole on the card board template and keep trimming until it fits the way I want and the shifter boots cover. Then I will use the card board template to finish the diamond plate new tunnel cover. Hope this helps. When I'm done ill post pics.

The Transfer Case drop is an alternative to using shims( and other methods). I ended up not needing them on my 8 because of the longer wheelbase, but I've heard guys talk about using 2 1/2 and 4 degree shims on 7's. There are a thread or two describing how to figure out what shim you need.

any link by chance??

So after hearing all the talk about the JB Fab twin sticks, I went an ordered a set for my self :). Had some x-mas cash. Here's a short video of them/install. Jeep is a 85 CJ7 with TF 999 and Dana 300 . 1 inch body lift.
