Unless you ever go back to having A/C it is ok to leave them open. They have already been exposed to ambient air for an extended period of time but I would cap them via some means because you never know what the future holds.
 
And once the lines have been open to ambient air and humidity, your drier unit would need replacement to ever go back to AC again as well.
